The Independent Living Fund (ILF) is being replaced by the Welsh Independent Living Grant (WILG).
From the 1st of July 2015 ILF is being replaced in Wales by the WILG. Existing recipients of ILF will receive their payments from Local Authorities.

The Welsh Independent Living Grant (WILG) will run until 31st March 2016. The All Wales Forum will continue to be involved and positively influence developments , and as it did with the ILF consultation process and creation of WILG, will form part of a Project Group which will work with Welsh Government and the Minister for Health and Social Services in considering and developing options for longer term care and support of ILF recipients in Wales from April 2017.
