AWF & the Independent Commission on the Constitutional Future of Wales – Have your voice heard

All Wales Forum of Parents and Carers of People with Learning Disabilities and the Independent Commission on the Constitutional Future of Wales, are working to gather views from across Wales about what a good future for Wales looks like for you.

About AWF

The All Wales Forum,  established in 1998, is an umbrella body made up of a Wales-wide alliance of local and regional-based organisations and support groups of parents and carers. We are governed by parents and carers, ensuring that our client base has a clear input into our direction of work.

We are unique among the Learning Disability bodies in Wales as the only organisation that represents nationally, collectively and solely the views and voices of Parents and family Carers of people with learning disabilities. We share a commitment with our wider alliance partners to work to improve the rights and recognition of family carers supporting loved ones with a disability.

Through working together with the network, we want to enable parents and family carers to have an equitable voice and to be empowered to make positive decisions to meet their needs.

Independent Commission on the Constitutional Future of Wales

Established by the Welsh Government. The commission has 2 broad objectives.

The first is to consider and develop options for fundamental reform of the constitutional structures of the United Kingdom, in which Wales remains an integral part. The second is to consider and develop all progressive principal options to strengthen Welsh democracy and deliver improvements for the people of Wales.

How can we work together?

Your opinion matters. Have your say on the changes you would like to see in the future.
Please find a short survey in English here.
Please find a short survey in Welsh here.
We are aware and appreciate that many family carers will be busy at this moment and may not have time or want to fill out a survey, or that this survey isn’t accessible to you. We are also having conversations with local and national parent carers groups and charities to ensure we do all we can to reach out to carers from as many communities as possible here in Wales.
You can also contact us via social media at @AllWalesForum on Twitter, Facebook and now Instagram.
