Independent Living Fund – future arrangements to support recipients in Wales
Consultation ends 23 December 2014.
Welsh Government are seeking views on what future arrangement there should be to support those who receive payments from the Independent Living Fund (ILF) after it closes on 30 June 2015.
They want to hear from you about what arrangements you want them to make for people who get help from the Independent Living Fund. They are consulting on four possible options as follows:
- Set up something like the Independent Living Fund in Wales
- Set up a national independent living scheme in Wales;
- Give each local authority extra money. The local authority chooses how to use the money.
- Give each local authority a special grant. The Welsh Government says how the local authority must spend the money.
