The All Wales Forum of Parents and Carers of People with Learning Disabilities wants to hear from you!
The AWF have been given the opportunity to visit local groups and networks across Wales to explore how much Carers know about their Regional Partnership Boards- where most decisions on health & social care service delivery, funding and monitoring will now be made.
We are also interested in exploring the best ways to engage Carers in the community with the work of the Boards, and particularly the Independent Carer members that each board has.
All Local Authorities and Health Boards have started to develop Carer strategies and engagement plans with some success but also some challenges- so this is a chance to help shape them further and come up with solutions to improve communication methods that suit you as Carers.
Grace, Project Coordinator at AWF, will be visiting local groups across Wales in the next few weeks. Please contact Grace at grace@allwalesforum.org.uk or call 02920811120 to find out if she will be coming out to a place near you.
Alternatively, please contact us if you have some views you would like to share about this work, we would love to hear from you.
Although we are a learning disability carers organisation, this project wants to hear from ALL carers.
