Minister of State for Disabled People Mike Penning announced on the 6 March 2014, that from 30 June 2015, the Independent Living Fund (ILF) will close and funding will be transferred to local authorities and the devolved administrations.
This is following a legal challenge and appeals process to the Government’s announcement on the 18th December 2012 of its intention to close the ILF on the 31 March 2015.
