Support Us

The All Wales Forum is always interested in hearing from people who would like to get involved with the organisation and support us in our work, either directly or through partnership working.

There are a number of ways that you can get involved, influence our work and help to make a positive change to families’ lives across Wales.

Trustee

The All Wales Forum Board is made up of family carers who have a direct understanding of the challenges that our wider Alliance members face each day. They are committed to the work of the Forum, to improving the lives of carers and their relatives across Wales and to ensuring that family carers never feel alone.

If you are a family carer who would be interested in becoming a Trustee, please get in touch with the main office on 029 20811120 or email admin@allwalesforum.org.uk and we will get back to you as soon as we can.

Equally, if you are a professional with experience of commissioning, legal support, welfare support, HR or finance management and you would be willing to attend four meetings a year, we would love to hear from you. Independent professionals can be co-opted onto the Board and play a very much valued role in supporting the Governance of the Forum and our daily running processes.

Volunteering

The Forum has also benefited from a number of volunteers over the years, assisting with administrative tasks in the main office, as well as helping to raise our profile at local events and consultations. Many volunteers use the experience to improve their personal CV, while others enjoy making a difference in their local community.

If you can spare a day or two a month and would be interested in volunteering with the Forum please contact us on the office details above.

Partnership work

As an organisation we are always looking for new ways to work together with others to help generate innovative ideas and solutions for carers and their learning disabled relatives. If you are a member of a local group, partner organisation or an independent body and have an idea to share with us about partnership working, please contact us on the main office details above.

Donations

As with any charity, the All Wales Forum has to raise a significant amount of Funds each year in order to continue our unique and valuable work. In the past we have received donations from very generous individuals who recognise the impact we have on improving the lives of some of the most vulnerable families across Wales. If you feel that you can spare a small amount to make a contribution to our work we would be very grateful. Please contact the main office to discuss it.
